Upgrading hugo is not straightforward due to the backward incompatibility changes. Too much changes to care for a static generator.
- ashishb 2y agoThat's one thing I did realize over the last year. It is not a huge work but still some work, especially, as you wait for themes to upgrade themselves with the newer version of Hugo.
- mattl 2y agoIsn’t Hugo distributed as a static binary? I assume that binary doesn’t ask you to upgrade.
- cookedcode 2y agoYou are not obligated to update Hugo if your version works for you.
