The very term "AGI" is a confession that the I in AI doesn't stand for intelligence.
What is even the opposite of "general intelligence"? Specialized intelligence?
But AI already has a large spectrum. It's not an expert system in this or that. It's quite general. But it's not actually intelligent.
We should replace "AGI" with "AAI": Actual Artificial Intelligence.
- wat10000 2y ago"AGI" because computers beat humans in many specific areas of intelligence. Chess playing used to be considered AI, for example. It wasn't too long ago that top human-level Go play was considered out of reach for computers, now computers exceed humans. But there isn't a system that matches or exceeds human intelligence in all aspects. That's what the G is for.
