Having this available, especially for people who cannot afford to use an attorney or when the amount is too low to justify hiring one is way better than the alternative of being ripped off. That said, I’d never do this for a material amount of money. For a 15k remodel rip-off, I’d hire an attorney. This situation goes well beyond a letter, and id want a professional helping me every step of the way.
