- basementcat 2y agoEven scientists in the USSR were occasionally permitted to attend conferences in the West (and scientists from the West were permitted to attend conferences inside the Iron Curtain. Sounds like someone in the executive branch doesn't want scientists to do their job. Wonder what they're afraid of?
