- JumpCrisscross 2y agoThis is stupid. The money hasn't been saved, just paused. And it doesn't account for the massive legal costs DOGE is incurring on the public's dime.
- inverted_flag 2y agoThis is just aggregating tweets from the doge account, where Elon proclaims he’s cancelled millions in funding for DEI programs without explaining what those programs actually were.
- k310 2y agoLet's address the purpose of the "savings". It's to finance a tax cut for billionaires. (I'm not making this up.) It is proven that "trickle down" economics is a fraud (Nobel Prize proven) and that helping the middle class lifted the economy, even for those billionaires.

- mullingitover 2y agoI recall a web app, I believe in the New York Times site, a while ago that let you play "Balance the Federal Budget." It had sliders over all the federal spending levers. The interesting part was that pretty much anything you did to enact the republican dream of gutting spending immediately led to recession/depression. Anyway I'm feeling pretty good about being in an all cash position right now, these people aren't too bright and this is obviously going to get out of hand.
