- khrbrt 2y agoCombining engineering teams of very similar products will inevitably lead to consolidation. The key leaders of these teams will leave. The open source projects will starve. No customers will start a new project with these products when it's obvious they won't exist in a few years. Red Hat just lost all of its advantage in selling services for existing customers if these products now belong to a different company.
