Hopefully Qualcomm stops trying to derail RISC V then.
- sylware 2y agoI am already dreaming of the day I'll play AAA games on my RISC-V workstation (on a linux based OS, probably without ELF binaries anymore though). Or have a RISC-V smart phone, with my own linux based OS.
- snvzz 2y agoAIUI they (were) stopped by the end of 2023. Their proposal got no support from any vendor, and was also rejected[0] by the board of directors. They were shown they were wrong, and thoroughly educated on the matter by other members. SiFive even made a presentation[1] about it. RISC-V has long moved on from that incident. RVA23 was ratified.
