Does that mean they CANNOT notify you or its up to the discretion of the entity handing over the data? If the latter it still makes a strong case that a notification system would be used for such things if one exists for similar circumstances.
- revscat 14y agoIf the government issues an NSL then you are prohibited from notifying anyone of its existence, and they are not subject to judicial oversight. They are issued solely at the discretion of the government, and if you receive one you cannot talk about it.
