Ask HN: Alternative to Shush?
I've been using Shush[0] for years as a quick and easy way to mute and unmute my mic as needed for meetings with a global hotkey. It's last update was 2014, and it has only recently stopped working with latest macOS (rather impressive).
Does anyone know of any similar solutions?

- luckman212 2y agoI've had good success with toggleMute[0] (GitHub). It's written in Swift and runs well on macOS 15.3. You can toggle the mic with a hotkey, and it adds a menubar icon/menu so you can see the current mic status at a glance. [0] https://github.com/satrik/toggleMute https://github.com/satrik/toggleMute
