Maybe I’m missing something… I get it that Oracle is in the wrong but I’m still not sure why get in this trademark fight anyhow. I would personally leave it to someone with much larger pockets like Microsoft to deal with.

Oracle will fight like hell if there is a slightest chance to earn royalty from that trademark. edit: Microsoft or other companies have no financial benefit on that fight. Even Deno itself has no financial benefit as well. This fight is for goodwill but not justifiable for financial terms (unless you can be the next owner of JavaScript trademark)
