JJ actually calls its bookmarks "bookmarks". Maybe these two words got accidentally flipped?
- dragonwriter 2y agoNo, the English structure "<foo> ... what jj calls <bar>" just has an annoying semantic ambiguity, and can either mean "<foo> is the name used by jj for the thing that is more commonly referred to as <bar>" or "the thing more generally called <foo> is referred to as <bar> by jj", which is expected to be resolved by the reader on the basis of whether <foo> or <bar> is the generic term they are familiar with.
- pkulak 2y agoOh, you're right, I didn't read it in my head like that.
