Campus attack 'worst mass shooting in Swedish history; around 10 people' killed
- duxup 2y agoI'm not going to pretend to know the details about THIS shooting, but so many of these events involve mental illness. I have to wonder if the modern internet era + mental illness has unlocked a sort of spiral that for these folks takes them places they otherwise would not go. That's all theory, I don't know if it's backed by fact, but it's sad, worrisome.
- LinuxBender 2y agoThis, and the first question I always try to answer is what off-label medications they were prescribed and what their diet was. This really needs to be studied.
- 31337Logic 2y agoMeds and diet? Interesting. My first thought is always, "What religion are/were they?”.
- gsf_emergency 2y ago35-year-old Rickard Andersson, according to wikipedia. Guns are no longer the weapon of choice for terrorists outside USA
- nis0s 2y ago> Guns are no longer the weapon of choice for terrorists outside USA There’s a dark implication here, so you’re saying he was influenced or coerced to do this? It’s baseless conjecture without any proof, but based on anecdotal evidence, I think there are some cases which may fall under this type of scenario. I’ve seen similar behavior online where users encourage a vulnerable person to some end. The fact that you’re assuming such behavior is related to terrorism is interesting.
