Powerful AI technology being deployed against users to apply non-transparent and unaccountable censorship to their usage of these tools. Not exactly the brag they think it is. It wouldn't be much of a concern except for their efforts lobbying the California government to outlaw access to open models.

Their lobbying to outlaw open models is the biggest threat posed by AI, and their crowing about alignment and existential threats is cover fire for their real objective: total market control.

  Total market control isn't the worst reason floating around out there, there are worse ones.
