- xor-eax-eax 2y agoI'm trying to wade through Varoufakis' Technofeudalism. It's obvious most billionaires lack ideological loyalty except which might make them the most money. The problem is the manufacturing of consent amongst the populous of a belief that a tiny fraction of the population should be celebrated and enriched without regard to all other concerns. This, I think, is what allowed inverted totalitarianism to give way to more overt totalitarianism. The US is presently exhibiting themes of ochlocracy, anocracy, kleptocracy, and plutocracy.
