Genuine question, why are labor union strikes so effective, and why are companies like Amazon so against unionizing if they're not effective?

- pfdietz 2y agoBecause of laws allowing labor unions to achieve control over the workers a company can hire.
- SoftTalker 2y agoA strike of skilled workers against a specific employer can be effective. A "general strike" of "laborers" is unlikely to have any effect. It's too diffuse, and there are too many other people who can step in as replacements.
