Finding outdated search results from 2012 is probably the biggest impediment for the ecosystem. Or finding out, from the project XML, whether a project is .net48 and Windows only or .net6 I'd a non-trivial task. Why? Other than that, I agree with the article. It's a mature ecosystem where the crucial bits have first-party support.
