- joshstrange 2y agoI’m seeing a lot of tools that looks like they require quite a bit of manual intervention. I feel like this Twitter post is trying to pretend they just sit back while all of these agents and churning away. In my experience it’s more like trying to keep a bunch of plates spinning. It really feels like he just cherry-picked a bunch of tools that claim to do a job, but I don’t believe for a second he’s actually getting value out of all of these or that the time commitment to get the value is worth it. Also I’ve yet to see a coding tool that can make more than toy projects without a developer watching closely at nearly every step. Aider is amazing and I love using it, it speeds up development and lets me try crazy things then backtrack if I don’t like the results but I’ve seen what happened if you try to only prompt-code with with, the results are not great.
