There is seemingly a scientific consensus among scientists in fields relevant to climatology. If we ignore all of those however, then I would agree that there isn't a scientific consensus in the general populous on climate change, especially among people who haven't bothered to look into the actual science of it particularly. Also, more data does not equal worse statistics, at least on average anyway.
