Timing is one of the most important part of the market. You could make a truly great product far too early and nobody would use it and you would get bankrupt. Then someone else would come with something, perhaps even worse, at the right time and cash out.

  I disagree. If the product fails due to timing but succeeds years later without having changed dramatically, I would argue that this was a good product from the start (despite having no users).
