IME MySQL. Folks using MariaDB aren't shy about saying so.
- krick 2y agoI wouldn't be so sure. I always was just saying "MySQL" almost exclusively, even though it actually wasn't MySQL for like 10 years, I guess.
- evanelias 2y agoUber uses MySQL, not MariaDB. They literally have a recent blog post about their upgrade from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0.
- kazinator 2y agoIn shops that have been on MySQL for thirty years, people probably continue to say "MySQL" even though it's MariaDB. They have things named after MySQL, like host names, configuration files, lines in configuration files, discussion channels and mailing lists, and whatever else.
