- pknerd 2y agoHindi is a central aka standard language for India, just like Urdu in Pakistan. Technically Urdu is an Indian language too
- polyaniline 2y agoHindi is spoken by only around 40% of the total population, and is very regional. Using Hindi as a catch all for Indian users alienates around 800M people. English makes much more sense.
