As a Spanish speaker, the name sounds very natural. We call supermarkets just “super” is daily speech. Somebody named Diego might call their supermarket “Super Diego”. It’s not weird at all. I’m sure this guy was aware that Super Mario was a Nintendo character. But is this enough to prohibit him from using his own name for his own store?
