Even if fusion reactors can be made reliable, they'll still require a huge amount of investment with a payoff decades into the future. Meanwhile, you buy some cheap solar panels and can get returns on your money almost immediately.
- aqme28 2y agoYes. Laypeople often forget about this fact. A big reason that we're not building fission plants is because you won't get anything back for a decade or more. And by that time, will it still even be competitive?
