Article seems super biased to me. Why are tarpits repeatedly characterized as attacks rather than as defense?
- grajaganDev 2y agoAgreed. Some commenters where pretty upset about the tarpits the last time this was posted on HN.
- simondanerd 2y agoIn my opinion, if you access my content or web service, you accept the risk of not asking me first or knowing what's going to happen to the content when you do access it. It's mine, I've given you access, I'm not going to guarantee it's quality or how many times you'll need to try to get it before your scraper gets blocked for too many requests.
