Got a fun e-mail from our provost this morning saying to try not to spend any non-personnel money on federal grants (as far as I know, the University has already received the money from current grants, though maybe there are potential caveats or accounting issues?).
- tetris11 2y agoSounds a lot like what was happening internally within UK universities immediately post-Brexit. The money just dried up, and polite discussions between competing professors during talks started to take on a real visceral quality.
