Why? Are we reaching the point of using more energy than the sun provides to Earth?

  We're at the point of not having enough sun and wind capacity and having to burn coal and gas. We've been at that point for a couple centuries. The goal is to not be at that point any more. Adding more demand? Doesn't help.

      The problem is that we already don't have enough supply, so we shouldn't be adding more demand.
