NBA, NFL Subreddits Among Largest to Ban X After Elon Musk Controversial Salute
- cebert 2y agoBased on your account history, it seems like you primarily post political content here. Perhaps you should consider finding a different platform for that. I believe that many individuals here are tech-savvy and not particularly interested in politics.
- MilnerRoute 2y agoSeveral links about Reddit's X.com bans (at the subReddit level) have been shared (and upvoted) on Hacker News. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42802166 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42802166 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42798133 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42798133 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42793585 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42793585 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42784482 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42784482 I personally don't think it's "political content." (Although some people are sensitive about "Musk-flogging" content.)
- cebert 2y agoI feel like there’s a constant stream of news and political posts about Musk on this platform. I don’t care about him or personally respect him. It’s also not the kind of content that aligns with the terms of service of this platform. If you’re interested in keeping up with the Trump/Elon drama, you can go read TMZ or CNN. If you review don’s recent submissions, most of them are political articles.

And, if you're in the tech industry, you are responsible for it. If you want to be serious about the tech industry then you must look unflinchingly at its nature. And if you don't like what you see then that's the signal that it's time to change things, isn't it.
