Basically when he hits an error, he will paste the error and give a simple instruction like "I'm getting this error when I click this button: <ERROR_HERE>" and then repeat until it's fixed. Nothing special; imagine a non-technical PM giving directions to a junior dev except this junior dev codes nearly instantaneously.
