I’m curious… why do you think New Zealand might be less affected by an AGI disaster?
For that matter, what is an AGI disaster, in your view? On a scale of “China stole my job” through “why are there so many hurricanes and forest fires these days?” to Skynet?
Personally, I’m trying to max out my pension contributions and hoping for left-wing governments being in power when the time comes (because right-wing and centrist governments will roll over and give AGI powered big business what they want when the time comes).
- sim7c00 2y agoi think it was a random example. i thought the same.. its a nation witu a lot of tech and money etc. so its likely as much affected. then again there is a lot of remote nature, but australia would likely then be better as it allows u to be further away from tech and people. its uninhabited/sparsely populated expanses are much vaster.
