Signature moves: Are we losing the ability to write by hand?
- cratermoon 2y agoI'd like to note that traditional cursive styles, like D’Nealian, Zane-Bloser, Spencerian, or Palmer Method, are kind of bad. Among other issues, they were developed for a time when everyone wrote with dip pens, or some kind of less-than-neat fountain pen setup. Also they tend to be aggressively right-hand dominant. On the other, er, hand, styles like Getty-Dubay Italic give the legibility of the simple block letters we learned in early childhood with a connected flow that is fast and smooth.
