Not many sanctuary cities in the "red" states.
- scarface_74 2y agoWhy is being a sanctuary city a necessity for them to have raids? You don’t think any farmers in Texas are using illegal immigrants?
- slowmovintarget 2y agoBecause the actions are against convicted violent criminals, with "red notices" as a priority. "Why doesn't Trump deport violent offenders here illegally from Red States?" Because most Red States don't tolerate violent offenders here illegally. Blue states specifically, vociferously, and at great taxpayer expense, do.
- scarface_74 2y ago> Because the actions are against convicted violent criminals, with "red notices" as a priority. He raided an entire factory and he had no way of knowing whether they were criminal. Some innocent Puerto Ricans - who are United States citizens - were detained. He wasn’t going after criminals with red notices. In Arizona, native Americans are also being detained by ICE and they are having to prove their citizenship https://azmirror.com/2025/01/24/reports-of-navajo-people-being-detained-in-immigration-sweeps-sparks-concern-from-tribal-leaders/ https://azmirror.com/2025/01/24/reports-of-navajo-people-bei...
- croes 2y agoBut many illegal immigrants, but last time the deportations hurt the farmers
- bediger4000 2y agoWhere can I find an official list of sanctuary cities? What's the criteria for being on that list? Just so I can figure this out for myself.
- slowmovintarget 2y agoThey are self-declared, but here you go: https://cis.org/Map-Sanctuary-Cities-Counties-and-States https://cis.org/Map-Sanctuary-Cities-Counties-and-States
