i find complaints like this hard to take seriously if you eat meat

- perfmode 2y agothey matter in an absolute sense, from a standpoint of inherent dignity. there is a part of them in me, and a part of me in them. i recognize, acknowledge, and value them. from this acknowledgement, i mourn their confinement.
- metalman 2y agothere is something to be said for everything bieng astheticaly acceptable to the vast majority of the population, as in how abetiors in some countrys have regular walk through tours for the public. This should be one of the tests for an actual open democracy, nothing hidden, nothing to hide, dont like it, then put in your suggestion, it will be considered, and we will get back to you. And if whatever is bieng done requires specialy trained teams of troglyte's to do the job, then it's wrong to do it.

- mindslight 2y agoImperfectly acknowledging one part of a larger issue is a necessary first step.
- noman-land 2y agoI find them easy. Since it is impossible to live without destroying other living things, it is imperative that when we take a life for sustenance that we do it as humanely and respectfully as possible because causing suffering is wrong.
