Here's a prediction: molecular nanotech in the scifi sense and synthetic biology turn out to be the same field. Heck, that might not even be a prediction, just a statement of fact from a certain angle. Point being, we're not going to have (or at least bother with) tiny "robots". They'll basically just be cells, with maybe some evolutionarily-implausible components.
