Personally I think until we trust AI agents to get the _best_ answer for us we’ll still need manually checking.
For example in the TripAdvisor example, would you really trust that OpenAI has gotten you the best answer? Personally I wouldn’t.
- hipadev23 2y agoHow certain are you that the source itself is trustworthy? Tripadvisor, yelp, and amazon are filled with fake/paid reviews along with the absence of negative reviews which premium members have paid to remove.
- JKCalhoun 2y agoMy thoughts exactly. Most here will remember accusations that Yelp was taking down negative reviews (were there even suggestions of payola?) I feel sometimes people grossly overestimate how valuable the web really is. Or at least the majority of it. Wikipedia, archive.org, or my guilty pleasure, YouTube — only a handful of sites really stand out for me. If the rest crashed and burned I'd probably bicycle more.
