Team Fortress 2 Classic (TF2C) v2.2 "Double Down Update" Released
- Lammy 2y agoI've been back into this game in a big way lately. TF2C is a re-imagining of the 2008 era of TF2, now evolving in its own way that tries to stay true to the original spirit of the game versus Valve using TF2 to invent the modern incarnation of loot boxes in 2010, ruining TF2 and the rest of the industry forever. For those who want to play on Mac, I have had perfect results with Whisky Wine: https://getwhisky.app/ https://getwhisky.app/ Create a Wine Prefix, use Whisky's built in WineTricks to install `dsound` to fix sound-stuttering freezes w/r/t voice chat, then install Windows Steam in Wine and follow the rest of the Windows setup instructions on the TF2C site. I am updating to 2.2 now so I can play after work today — the hype is real! https://i.imgur.com/tqUk1xX.png https://i.imgur.com/tqUk1xX.png This is doubly interesting from a hacker point of view because the project that became TF2C started as a fan compilation of 2008-era leaked TF2 source code.
