Probably because GNU Emacs was too bloated for the Amiga's 512KB of RAM (or whatever amount the original model had).

Probably because GNU Emacs was too bloated for the Amiga's 512KB of RAM (or whatever amount the original model had).
- mmooss 2y agoThey also might have been conserving storage space. Though Emacs did run on other contemporary systems.
