- pdimitar 2y agoThe sentiment is good but our OP here is not making their argument well (and is incorrect about terminal development btw). Mike Perham also talks about a dynamic language in an ecosystem that was just as obsessed with left-pad-like lunacies like the Node.JS ecosystem still is. The sentiment is not wrong but doesn't apply to Rust. Be honest: would you roll your own HTTP and WebSockets server from scratch? Also how likely do you think it is that a business will allow you this huge downtime during which no moneymaking activities will be performed?
