- ggm 2y ago"The Algorithm" has become a useful excuse. No, I don't believe some ham fisted fool went and dialled the anti abortion knob to 11 on secret instructions. Yes I do think that it's politically expedient and not very surprising the corporates in social media feed tuning want to disclaim personal responsibility for systems they control for profit. I do not think there has been a real sentiment shift in the community away from support for women's reproductive rights. I do believe the commentaries may have taken "the algorithm" there.
- judith0_0 2y agoWe definitely need more transparency from these companies about how their algorithms work and how they make decisions regarding content moderation in the context of reproductive health.
