- dang 2y agoYour account has been using HN primarily for ideological battle. That's not allowed here, and we ban accounts that do it, regardless of what they're battling for or against: https://hn.algolia.com/?sort=byDate&dateRange=all&type=comment&storyText=false&prefix=false&page=0&query=primarily%20test%20by:dang https://hn.algolia.com/?sort=byDate&dateRange=all&type=comme.... In addition, you've been posting quite a bit in the flamewar style and being aggressive in comments. That's also not allowed and we also have to ban that sort of account. I don't want to ban you because you've also posted good things on other topics, but if you want to keep posting here, we need you to review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and align your use of the site with its intended purpose: curious conversation on topics of intellectual interest, not flamewar, battle, or enemy-smiting. If you'd please do the former and not the latter, we'd appreciate it.
- anonfordays 2y agoSorry, there have been many charged topics that have hit the front page recently. I do see some of the aggressiveness in my comments reading them once again. Making a mental note not to do that.
- dang 2y agoPlease don't take HN threads into political flamewar, even when a topic orients most people that way. Actually, especially then: "Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive." https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html If you have a question about e.g. accessibility, it's of course fine to express it in a more substantive and less flamebaity way.
