I know that embeddings are old news for ML practitioners but for my field (technical writing) they open up lots of interesting new workflows and opportunities. So for me, embeddings are the most exciting fundamental research happening in my industry.
- mkaic 2y agoHell yeah. They do strike me as opening up some exciting possibilities—the fact that we can now do math on semantic information (something that has famously evaded prior attempts to do math on it) is really intriguing.
