Show HN: I made a WYSIWYG AI editor for scriptwriting
Hey HN!
For the past 6 months I've been working on this project. I make educational YT videos and I found myself constantly switching between Notion and ChatGPT, so I decided I'll combine both into a single app.
Now I have all the context stored by the AI, so I don't have to teach it my writing every new chat. And all of that in a beautiful WYSIWYG, Notion-like editor.
I hope you find it useful! Let me know your feedback.

- sebastiennight 2y agoCongratulations on launching, Victor! A few suggestions and comments based on experience building a RAG-based video script writing tool: 1. You might want to iterate on your positioning/promise. "Scriptwriting" might not be a way that your target customer talks about what they do. I actually clicked on your HN post because I thought you meant writing movie scripts. (not content for YouTube). I'm guessing you'll be hard to find if you use that word. 2. The time-saving calculator is a good idea, but it's lacking a question ("how many videos do you aim to produce per month?") and it is stacking the wrong way on mobile (the hours saved show first) 3. The biggest item by far: "AI credits" are a terrible way for users to assess the value of different plans. We (https://www.onetake.ai https://www.onetake.ai ) ran a very successful AppSumo campaign last year, and the whole "AI credits" pricing style was the source of so many headaches and comments and customer tickets. To put it in a nutshell : - almost every successful startup that started with a "credits" system has moved away from it, and moved towards counting value in user-facing units (minutes of video, pages of text, number of revisions, etc) - there is not a single example I know of where a successful startup has moved the other way (from a user-valuable metric to a generic "credit" system) These 2 cents of advice come from lots of painful experience :-) Good luck! - victorjaro 2y agoThanks a lot! You made me question everything now, haha :) I actually got the credits idea from the AI code editors - thought I could make the same, just a text editor. I'll try to iterate and we'll see where it goes!
