DHS merely inherited the Coast Guard's responsibility for the fishing industry. It wasn't just unregulated before 2003!
- theultdev 2y agoThat's false. The DHS didn't inherit any fishing responsibilities in it's creation. The Coast Guard has and still does work with related agencies (NOAA/NMFS, Fish and Wildlife, EPA, etc.) in this regard. This committee in question didn't even exist before 2018.
