FIDE Slams Freestyle Chess, Threatens Legal Action
- ConspiracyFact 2y agoFIDE has no leg to stand on here. They don't own chess and they don't have a trademark on the phrase "World Championship" as it applies to chess. They can and will sanction players, and that will be enough to shut this down--but the idea that they could take "legal action" is laughable.
