Meanwhile China will rule the global energy market by bringing down the cost of solar below the cost of anything the US can dig or pump out of the ground.
This is a 1980s strategy by a President that was already middle aged back then and is unable to grasp new realities in his last few remaining years.
Just like leaving the WHO, this will just strengthen China’s global influence and weaken America long-term.
- tolciho 2y agoOne of them old Carter White House solar panels ended up in a Chinese museum. Reagan, by some accounts a conservative, apparently was not a fan of conserving the White House's energy expenditures. Reagan also cut tax breaks for solar panels. Oh, well. I guess someone else can have that market.
