Gauntlet AI is an intensive 12-week AI training
- codingdave 2y ago> "Step 1: Apply by January 4" More than 2 weeks ago, so I guess we don't need to engage much deeper than that, eh? But really, this looks less like training, and more like the most insane interview process we've seen yet.
- yellow_lead 2y agoWonder why this is being advertised on the front page then.
- yellow_lead 2y agoRequirements: .. * Ability to dedicate up to 100 hours per week If you are doing 'hardcore learning', I'd expect you need 8 hours of sleep at night. 247 - 87 - 100 = 12. I guess if you eat every meal in 20 minutes, and don't drive anywhere this is totally doable!
- bitwize 2y agoThis course is not for everybody -- only those determined to do whatever it takes to succeed. There are alternatives to sleep used by top performers: caffeine, cocaine, (meth)amphetamines, etc. Yes, this is sarcasm.
- ycombiredd 2y ago“Copyright © 2024 — BloomTech Inc.”[1] Isn’t this the same BloomTech founded by Austen Allred that was subject of all of the hubbub for running coding bootcamps (“Lambda”, “BloomTech”) that got into all sorts of trouble a while back for (according to the US Government) deceiving students? [2] “government agency banned Allred from student-lending activities for 10 years and permanently banned BloomTech from all consumer-lending activities. In addition, BloomTech must pay $64,000 and Allred must pay $100,000 in civil penalties, which will go toward a victim relief fund” [3] Maybe that explains the “free of charge” part of it. lol sources: 1 https://www.gauntletai.com/ https://www.gauntletai.com/ 2 https://www.consumerfinance.gov/enforcement/actions/bloomtech-inc-and-austen-allred/ https://www.consumerfinance.gov/enforcement/actions/bloomtec... 3 https://www.businessinsider.com/bloomtech-lambda-school-austen-allred-deceived-students-cfbp-says-2024-4?op=1 https://www.businessinsider.com/bloomtech-lambda-school-aust...
- codingdave 2y agoInteresting. That also explains why they are claiming to be from YC S17. I guess this just the next incarnation of LambdaSchool, and all the baggage that comes with it. Or, another attempt to re-brand to avoid said baggage.
