- gregjor 2y agoHire a maid. My parents made their kids do chores to earn allowance. If you don't want to pay a maid and don't have kids to press into service, learn to relax and find satisfaction in cleaning up after yourself. No need to "optimize" everything.

- grajaganDev 2y agoMaids don't deal with clutter so you have to clean up after yourself anyway.
- sirobg 2y agoOP: White vinegar for limestone. With microfiber cloth it's very effective.
- gregjor 2y agoYou can find numerous subreddits with tips and "life hacks" like this, stuff your grandmother knew. Doesn't seem like HN material.

- mouse_ 2y agoThis is the kind of question that requires substantially more effort to answer than it does to ask. Potential answers may also be extremely subjective. Why don't you describe your situation a bit, what you imagine is lacking to achieve what you feel would be a healthy home ecosystem, and how it makes you feel?
- sirobg 2y agoActually I just shared an example of the type of tips I had in mind. Limestone in the shower was pretty time-consuming to clean up, and using microfiber cloth and white vinegar made it much easier/better/faster.
- grajaganDev 2y agoWrite 'bottom left', 'top left', etc. with a Sharpie on the corners of your fitted sheet to make it quick and easy to put on the bed.
- Ekaros 2y agoIs there top and bottom left on those? I thought they were rectangles, so either end could be at either end. There is usually inside and outside on stitching.
- grajaganDev 2y agoThey are rectangles, not squares so it is possible (and very annoying) to try to fit it side to side when it should be end to end.
- grajaganDev 2y agoStore all of your clean clothes in the dryer - save time folding and putting them away.
- grajaganDev 2y agoDon't do dishes by hand - dishwashers save water and of course, time.
- grajaganDev 2y agoFold pillows in half lengthwise before putting in the pillow case.
- not_your_vase 2y agoIf your clothes get dirty, you can wash them, and wear them again. The times are over, when you had to keep buying clothes after you soiled the current ones.
