- kdmtctl 2y agoGitea also has actions. https://docs.gitea.com/usage/actions/overview https://docs.gitea.com/usage/actions/overview
- lolinder 2y agoGitea actually got actions before Forgejo did. That was part of what motivated Forgejo to become a hard fork instead of just a rebrand—there was some sort of disagreement about the way in which actions were rolled out and Forgejo decided from there to stop trying to be fully compatible. https://forgejo.org/2024-02-forking-forward/#the-hard-forking-process https://forgejo.org/2024-02-forking-forward/#the-hard-forkin...
- kdmtctl 2y agoI've missed that part. AFAIK both are forked from nektos/act and can't be dramatically different. All this story is an unnecessary dichotomy for me. Still hosting production code on a Gitea instance and will happily pay a dime but didn't get why yet.
- okucu 2y agoI probably worded that wrong, but that was my point. Forgejo didn't have actions for the longest time, so I was wondering if it "caught" up with gitea
- kstrauser 2y agoNot a thing. I don’t use actions yet, just the primary repo management UI. I don’t know if I could tell the difference.
