In the past I've shot video with broadcast TV gear, $30k+ cameras. To my eyes, an Apple iPhone Pro 15 shoots better quality video. These days camera sensors are amazing. But lens choice remains the biggest constraint. The aforementioned iPhone is only good as long as your shooting can be accommodated by the built in lens.
My advice is to clarify what distances, field of view, zoom range you require. (Digital zoom is of limited value). Having got your lens specs sorted, then you start looking at which cameras will suffice.
Without more information, I would seriously consider BlackMagic gear, e.g. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicpocketcinemacamera https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicpocketci...
- charlesrach 2y agoI have an iPhone 16 pro do you recon just stick with that? It would be for simple walking around and vlogging and action shots of stuff going on around me like dance performances and such.
