yeah exactly, tiktok is, in some ways, too big too fail. someone is going to want to pay for access to American data. i expect the US arm of the business to be sold to one of the other big tech companies in the near future.
- meiraleal 2y agoI don't think the price is worth selling their algorithms. TikTok will leave the US and fight for instagram marketshare all around the world. Meta will regret supporting this move, I think.
- null_investor 2y agoNot only this, Meta will need to fight many governments around the world with its new non-fact checking policy. I bet the EU and other countries will start giving them more fines. Would be nice to see some competition though, that isn't either Tiktok or Instagram.
