I'm a long time reader of Ramit and his blog which has been fantastic in shaping my thinking about finances. Admittedly much of his advice boils down to: "Figure out a way to make more money rather than trying to cut your expenses drastically (within reason)". But the repetition and different ways that is expressed over time have really let the message sink in.
